DISTRICT MANAGER


This position supervises the operation of accounts in various locations throughout the US to generate maximum sales and controllable profits from each unit while maintaining the Company’s objectives and quality standards. This position is responsible for the development of management teams. The District Manager is charged with the inspection and evaluation of food cost, labor cost, safety, sanitation, and compliance with Company and government policies. Proven superior customer relations skills are required.

The District Manager is expected to suggest methods of improvement in operations, and ensure proper implementation of new products, procedures, techniques, and policies.

FINANCIAL

  1. Prepare a period and yearly budget for each unit; maintain a complete commitment from all unit management.
  2. Achieve maximum sales and profits from each unit, while maintaining operational standards.
  3. Analyze period operating statements and conduct statement reviews with each unit manager. Each review must be timely, thorough, and include plans for corrective action, if needed.
  4. Aid, assist, and advise unit management with cost control.
    Contact each unit the first day of the new operating week to obtain sales and cost information from the past week and approve forecasted sales and staffing plans for the new week.

MANAGEMENT AND DEVELOPMENT

  1. Determine management manpower needs. Utilize Human Resources to fulfill all management manpower needs.
  2. Develop Managers at the unit level.


OPERATING CONTROL

  1. Visit each unit on a regular basis, to evaluate total performance.
  2. Aid management with operating problems.
  3. Assure that each unit properly uses Daily Cost Report, Sales, Wage, Labor, and Food Cost Report, Sales Recap, Inventory and all other necessary reports.
  4. Formally inspect each unit each period. The inspection should include food quality, service, sanitation, and administration. Discuss all areas that need improvement with management and institute plans for corrective action.

COMMUNICATION

  1. Hold General /Assistant Manager meetings on a regular basis.
  2. See that each General Manager meets with all associates to discuss matters of interest to the unit on a regular basis.
